About a year ago I noticed that the "View all messages of this thread starting from this message only" function wasn't working properly. What it seemed to be doing, was showing *all* messages of the thread that were later than the root message, even if they were on different "branches", rather than limiting it to the branch started by the root message. OTOH the "View the map of this thread starting from this message only" was working as expected.
I don't know if the view messages issue was ever fixed. With small threads the problem was hard to see, it was easier to see with large threads.
