Title:
Bruce Springsteen and the art of creation
My sleep is crap.
I woke up at 2 a.m. wide awake. I decided to check out the documentary that accompanies last fall's rerelease of "Darkness on the Edge of Town." It is sensational, and not even fore the reasons I expected. There is vintage footage and present day commentary. Bruce is not always admirable. He talks about being young and not knowing if he would be a success. But he is dead honest, which is his appeal. There is a connection between Bruce and his fans that is probably unlike that between any musician and his or her fans. He gives you his soul.
I will be happy to send this disc on tour and hope it tours better than the last one, a book which died in the south.
Everyone already knows this. I am pretty messed up. But I think I can rally. I still believe in the good things.
