>>>I just checked my email Sent messages folder and see nothing to you on that date, or any recent date. Can I ask you to forward it back to my email? Normally I am not paranoid but there have been some recent emails that make me suspect a third party is at work.

>>I realized what message Tracy meant after posting. I didn't find it in my Sent folder search because your name was the first in the To list. She should be ashamed of herself for leaving the UT with the impression there was anything inappropriate about it. Here it is --

>>Kevin, Tracy (or Tracy, Kevin if you prefer),
>>
>>I am addressing this to both of you because I have a feeling you are together on the silent treatment on the UT. Kevin told me there was a lot of private talk going on about me, then you both stopped talking to me. Whether you twit filtered me or are just not responding, I don’t know. I am asking that you reconsider.

>>Since my last round of obnoxiousness, which I agree was completely obnoxious, I have been trying to straighten myself out. I have not had a drink since Monday the 10th and am doing my best to keep it up. Maybe it finally became clear enough to me what alcohol has done to my life. I’m trying, and so far succeeding. It’s not like the urge has gone away because it hasn’t. But people can and do beat this. I have also been on my best behavior on the UT. The only drama at all has been the discussion with you, Kevin, about foreign keys, and that was a technical disagreement. You thought it was personal on my part but it wasn’t. I just wanted to understand why you advocated what you did and you finally got me to understand.

>>If you have both decided you have had enough of me, I can’t really dispute that. I have earned it. All I am asking is that you not turn your backs on me as long as I behave. I am a little nutso these days, being out of work and seriously worried about money, too much time on my hands. Isolation is not healthy for me. Most days the only social interaction I have is my AA group and the UT. If it’s too late then it’s too late. I am just asking you to reconsider. I think you both know I’m a decent guy when I’m sober. Even capable of swallowing my ego ;-)

Good advice.

Does your weather still suck? I have a friend who teaches school in Leicester (evidently not the garden spot of England) and she keeps calling the weather crap. It's one of her favorite words. The first time I remember her using it was the day after one of England's matches in the last World Cup.. What did you do last night? Watched crap soccer at my friend's. The thing I like best about her is she remains sunny. Almost all her students come from terrible homes. Her favorite, and mine by association, is a little girl named Charlie. Some of our nicest Skype conversations are accounts of the daily drama that is Charlie's life. Lately there is a new drama with another girl in class who has a newborn brother and is acting out. I don't know what my next act will be I think it should be something with people in it. Programming computers is a bloodless business.

The other day when we talked she was en fuego about a student teacher at her school. That's not the right word, there is a three letter acronym for it. You have graduated from college and you have a one year contract, and the school decides at the end of it whether to keep you or let you go. She has one, who she describes as the kind we need more of. The kid handles recess and that day the TLA from a different class, female, came into his classroom afterward to berate him in front of the students that they had been too loud during sport. "During sport! 5 year olds! If I had been there I would have had her head on a bloody pike!" She has a better talent than I do for calming down quietly and talked to the young teacher privately. She said she knew she made a mistake and apologized to the other junior teacher.
