That didn't seem to affect anything.

But I think I've found the cause. My mind clicked to the posts reagrding setting focus off a grid before doing a REPORT FORM. The code is running from an "Action Label" (that is a label with code in the Click event) rather than in a command button. So the focus is remaining on the grid while all this is happening. I put a SetFocus on the form's Exit button before processing and SetFocus back to the grid when done and all seems to work as expected.
