We use ArcServe 6.1 Enterprise edition for Novell. It has no problem backing up open tables; BTW, all our tables are opened as shared. The only thing that I have seen ArcServe not back up is the FoxUser table...

If you are running ArcServe Enterprise for NT, I understand that you need to add an additional module that will allow backing up opened files on a Novell server.
