Bollocks, without me agreeing or disagreeing with global warming the argument is that the average temperature of the globe is increasing . That might be true or not but it is still possible to have extreme cold in huge regions while others would have extreme heat.

It reminds me of this definition: A statistician is a person who, with his head in the oven and his feet in the freezer; will say that on the average he feels pretty good.
