He doesn't want to prop up Mubarak -- that worked out SO well with the Shah of Iran -- but he doesn't want to see Egypt descend into chaos, either. We don't really have any Arab allies but they are the best of the bunch.
I see Rummy is back in the news. He has a book out asserting that there wasn't much wrong with our strategy in Iraq, of which he was a primary architect, and pinning as much blame as possible on Bush. A nice guy to the end.
