I have never called a COM component over the web. In case you aren't aware, I wrote what is probably the best whitepaper available on using COM+ with VFP. COM does it's job very well, but technology left it behind.

But many have tried...and COM fails, miserably. .NET is much better at it (but still not advisable).


>You don't call a COM server component over the web just like you don't call a .NET server component over the web. The COM server component simply serves up html and other client-side stuff. Looks like you've been trying to use COM all wrong. No wonder you don't think much of it!
