What is the difference between a Web Service and a WCF Service


Also, there are 4 options
- WCF Service Library
- WCF Service Application
- WCF Workflow Service Application
- WCF Syndication Service Library

Which one should I use.
I want to create a web srvice that will return some data but will be consumed by various applicatins, e.g. Windows, Iphone, Android etc
