You could say the same about those who cling to NET as it becomes less and less relevant in the new mobile age

This is just simply not true......see my prior post to you. I can name many evolutions right now with plenty of momentum where .NET is ANYTHING but irrelevant. I'll name one right now - SharePoint.

The market is moving in MANY directions, and generalizations like this have little if any merit.

I'm not trying to make this into a competition, but I probably get to see more of the job market across North America because of what I do for a living. I talk to recruiters multiple times a week. I certainly won't claim that I have a pulse on every trend - I don't think anyone can claim that - but I can speak from a position of knowledge and current experience that I think your comments/projections have gone from misleading to false.
