OK, the backups make sense -- I have complete backups of all my apps for each night going back a long time, so that's easy enough.

But, when I read your message about the antivirus and antimalware, you mention scanning. Yes, my files are scanned regularly, but the problems I am encountering are for files that I have already been working on in the same session. I may have opened and closed the same form a number of times within the last 30 to 60 minutes before the error occurs -- not just the first time I use it that day.

Are you suggesting that the antivirus software is monitoring my local changes to files? If so, I guess I am quite surprised that it would be doing that. And, if not, then I doubt that's the root cause of the problem.

Thanks,

Jim

I ran into problems with Trend Micro and had to switch.
