In this case, no. The messenger IS the message.

He's doing this the same way for years. And he's doing his cause a disservice. If he wants to be a nag screen for the cause of West vs Islam, that's his choice, just like clicking the button to filter his threads of this sort is my choice.

What is he doing wrong, then? From my POV,

1) takes most of his news from Fox, which is not a news source, but a propaganda outlet, who won an expensive court battle to protect Monsanto and to make their own right to publish outright lies into a first amendment issue (google Akre case); I wouldnt trust Fox even if they said the day has 24 hours

2) He does it the same way each time

3) He seems to assume Christians = good guys, Muslims = bad guys. But not even the US policy is that black and white - US props Israel against Muslims, props Muslims against Christians in Europe, has close ties to the house of Saud while the outlying branches of that same house are fueling the Wahabi brand of Islam all over the Muslim world etc etc. So the question on who are the good guys and who are the bad guys isn't that clear cut, no matter who is in the White house. But that doesn't disturb his POV.

4) He may inadvertently, with his mule stubborn way of doing this*, cause some sympathy for the islamic cause by doing this. Which I wouldn't like to see - while most of the Muslims are just normal people, shaped by their lot in life, the syntagm "islamic cause" is just any other religious cause, dangerous because of the implied will to spread itself (equally implied in any other religion), and the methods of this spreading lead to violence and eventually wars.

* with which I actually sympathize, I know myself to be like that on a few issues - and I know the damage I did to those issues by being like that
