When I was a freshman at Penn, Buzz Bissinger (who wrote the book the show is based on) was one of the editors of the student newspaper, The Daily Pennsylvanian. I wrote a little for the paper, so met him some.

Just heard him on the radio the other day (maybe "Talk of the Nation"?) talking about the level of violence in football today.
