The press? It was the press that caused millions of people to take to the streets over a lack of jobs and the general state of the country?
The military's intentions remain unclear. Maybe it will turn out to be a dictatorship. It's hard to imagine it being much worse than what they already had. You know what they said about Mussolini -- the trains ran on time. No, I am not advocating military dictatorship as a preferred form of government, but you have to compare it to the alternative. Egypt, one of the founding fathers of civilization, has been very bad off for a long time now.
If Cleopatra were alive you can bet there would be hell to pay ;-)
