Nothing surprising, really. The Vandals coach was an assistant to Stew Morrill for 15 years and runs the same offensive and defensive schemes. It's always a tough game against Idaho. But extremely poor shooting by the Aggies didn't help. It didn't matter what the shot, they couldn't make baskets. But, they looked good last night against Fresno in Logan.

I peg one or two more loses in the regular season. For sure next weekend against Saint Mary's. Another possible loss is at New Mexico State the last week of the season. I'm also expecting to play either Idaho or New Mexico State, possibly both in the WAC tournament.

If the Aggies don't win the tournament, they're out of the Big Dance and into the NIT. Doesn't matter what happens at Saint Mary's next weekend.

Glad you spotted the joke...2 people PMd me and said, "oh my god, Craig was vandalized!!!" I replied, "yup, he sure was...brutally by the Idaho Vandals". :)

Yeah, Utah State shot very poorly in that game. I watched almost all of it. That St. Mary's game next Saturday is huge....(especially with St Mary's owning a victory over a St John's team that has 2 wins over top 10 teams).

Actually, if Utah State wins that game in Moraga, I think they could still get in the tournament without necesarily winning the conference tournament. But if they lose next Saturday night to the Gaels, I agree they'll have to win the WAC tourney to get in.

That does sort of stink, given that Utah State was #17 last Monday, but that WAC RPI is just really bad.

Different conference...I'll tell you 2 teams to watch in the tourney...Missouri State and Witchita State. Either or both could make some noise.
