Hi, I need some guidance, where should I go from where I am.

Basically, I am interested in learning more Java. I have taken a 1-semester (72 hours) Java course that covers the basics - loops, classes, multithreading, ... - but no database access and hardly any GUI programming.

I have seen some advanced courses, but they seem to be too advanced for my current level. I always have the impression that I am missing some prerequisites. Other Java courses and tutorials seem to cover almost precisely what I have already learned (although a review might be in order, of course!).

In any case, what else do I need to learn - beyond the basic introductory 1-semester course?

TIA,

Hilmar.
