Naomi,
Well at the moment it is temporarily using AVG free antivirus on the desktop with FortiClient at the network level.
Soon I will be under FortiClient on the desktop too.
I don't think the problem was viral.
The problem started showing signs after some memory failures last fall.
VFP started hanging a few times per week since then and finally newly compiled apps quit running.
I received several answers suggesting that I need to put in a "read events" statement.
I do not know how that works or how to use it.
But I have a lot of apps running here through VFP 6, 7 and 9 and none of them have a "read events" in there anywhere that I know of.
Do you think I am missing something important?
Regards,
Bob
