The limitation isn't at all obvious :-) and, yep, you can write your own Words/Wordnum routines but they're two orders of magnitude slower than the .fll; even in VFP6 which seems to have superior string handling.

I wonder if Walt Kennamer (a really nice guy, who wrote the original Foxtools) is still around and could patch up what's left of Foxtools.fll??
