The child form is only showing a p-view of the child records of the parent record. The child form is launched from a button on the parent form. So there is a logical parent-child relation, not a physical relation in terms of the grid though.

It's only slightly different than having one form with both a parent record and a child grid.

If the form presents several records like all the chili from New York City your parameterized view would be based on the chili table and all the records from New York City and you would view/edit all those records. This would use table buffering.
