I got the same message trying both the SQL and Windows auth.

When I try Windows auth I get:
Login failed for user ''. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18452)
When I try SQL auth I get:
Login failed for user 'Kevin'. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18452)
And yes, I have a SQL Login 'Kevin' defined

>You say you tried both Window and SQL authorisation. The question is whether you are sure this error message appeared when you attempted the *SQL* login - as Sergey pointed out this error is specific to a Windows login attempt.....
