You can easily import the 2007 format into VFP8 without converting it by using EXCEL automation

IMPORT FROM XLSFILE.XLS TYPE XLS
I must first convert the xls file to type Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 worksheet. ( by loading into Excel and Save as... changing the type to MS Excel 5...)
If I leave the xls file in Excel 2007 type, VFP8 cannot load it.
My question is this: Will VFP9 import an Excel 2007 file without converting it to the older type?
