Nabil,

Every connection you use takes up resources on the server. It is therefore a good idea to use as few connections as possible. The only situation I know of when having multiple connections is a good idea is when you need to execute multiple commands simultaneously. You'll need multiple connections for this because you can only execute a single command over a single connection at one time.
