I have been there and it is a really terrific place. It has been called the most English city outside of England.

One day when I was there with my girlfriend, later wife, we went down to the town center (centre) and were treated to the daily speech by a guy who billed himself as the Wizard of Christchurch. Picture Dragan in a really good mood;-) He stood on a stepladder and commented on the events of the day, in hilarious style. We were told that every time there was a census he would row out 12 miles into international waters so he couldn't be counted ;-)
