Hi Dennis,

>Which IDE, GUI toolkit et al for Python do you use currently sir?

My experience of python has been server-based. Translating server-side VFP onto a modpython servlet 1999-2003. What a joy from a technical perspective. That was sheer python 1.x at the start. Moving to 2.x later. Did not require UI (all hand-made html) nor external modules except for mxodbc. Not using python IDE.

Python is brilliant but certainly not one-stop-shopping when it comes to UI dev.

Just starting the translation of the non-UI code base of the application. I have investigated wxpython but still on the sidelines when it comes to development. I intend to build the whole non-UI code first, which is quite bulky anyway. And build the UI later. Python currently helps most on the former.
