Well I knew there had to be more to the story - so I guess the reasoning for the sentence is the fact she was doing this in front her kids and they're convinced that this lady and her mom were big pot dealers...although how "big time" can they be selling a wopping 11 bucks worth of grass. Anyway yeah she's dumb dumb dumb and shouldn't be selling weed in front of a 9 year old - but the 10 years still seems ridiculous and pointless. A drug treatment program + probation seems like it'd make more sense - and maybe the SRS keeping a close eye on the kids.
