The specific structure of my table, I believe, is irrelevant.

I would simply like to be able to place the accumulated values the report generates (grand totals for example) into some type of cursor that I can then use / manipulate elsewhere when the report goes away. The table or cursor doesn't have to be (that is what I desire) the same table or cursor the report is using to obtain its result set.

Perhaps I am wrong, but I see value in using multiple techniques that calculate the same information in order to test for arithmetic / procedure errors.
