Internet applications
Hi Tore:
I think I explained well in the first post.
Anyway my answer is "NO" for both questions so I explain you re writing the idea. Ok?
A client of mine want to have a Web Page.
I'm NOT going to program that Web Page.
A web developper is going to do it.
The only thing I have to do is to send the prices that change to the web page so that the web page I don't know what it will do with it but I want to send the data.
The web developper programmed a web page for me to test. He expects "dato1" and "dato2". As I said in the last post I was able to send the data and I was happy but using "explorer.application" or so. I don't know what is a "web page" but I supposed is a program. And the "explorer.application" is an object so I'd like to know the property or method that tell me "Message received" or "What did you say?" (.t. or .f., 1 or 0, if you prefer)
I don't know if my client will use the web page. Till I know he only wants to his costumers can see it and get surprised by his low prices and probably make orders. For the moment that's not my business. Perhaps if I get to understand the methods and properties I will able to receive in VFP the orders and processing them. I know that's is the next step. I'd like to be able to do it but I have to start in some point.
For the moment the web developper (who is anxious to make business) is going to do a "Web Server" (¿?) and is going to take a file that I'm going to create in a specific folder. Did you undestand? I'm only going to create a stupid file in a specific directory and problem solved..
But can't I learn anything with this situation?
I don't want to show the web page, I only want to send data and know if is received. Then I'll like to know how to receive data but it must be step by step.
I hope this time I'm making the correct question.
Do you think so?
Thank you very much.
Héctor
Oh. I forgot. At this moment the system is in DOS. In a few month I think to migrate to VFP. I mean today I have to create a stupid file in a specific folder. No way.
