I have a Brother QL550 and was curious myself so I just created a vfp label to test in about 5 minutes. Seemed to work well but I did do anything fancy. I did the following.
Selected the 550 and the vfp printer to use.
Created the label using Create Label foo
Right click on label and select properties
Clicked on page setup
Selected the size landscape orientation.
I printed a label from a temp cursor I created for testing.
>You are right. I also found it on Amazon for $60 (whereas at Staples today it was priced $99.) I have never bought things on buy.com but I will check it out. But, for now, for me it is important to know that I will be able to use this printer from my VFP application. And I understand that you only used their proprietary software (I think it is called P-touch).
>Thank you.

>>It's too expensive in Staples. It sells from time to time on buy.com and other places for under $40 with free shipping.
>>I use it at home to occasionally print labels using software that comes with it.
