I was not the one doing it. I simply pasted the comming in a messenger. The other person executed it at the location where it is installed. What was pasted was exactly in the same context as I put in my example. When the person removed the alias it worked. The error was something about table not found. Well, of course, that table is not found because it is an alias. So, to me, this seems to represent that this specific version was not supporting it. But, I do not think it is version 11. I will have to verify that.

For sure, it is Sybase using ODBC to connect to Adaptive Server Anywhere.
