Yes, there are are lot of Jim Nelsons in the world. There have been a number of times in my life where there have been coincidences due to having such a common name -- sometimes to comic effect, sometimes to my benefit.

Best, I think, was going to the 'Nelson fruit stand' in a little town in Oregon, and meeting Jim Nelson -- and his father was Jim Nelson, and his son, and, best of all, his son-in-law.

I've learned to find my uniqueness someplace other than in my name.
