I don't know if it's cultural or what. Although you're right that it's a violation of the rules, I just ignore them and feel none the worse for wear.

Do you have thoughts on the Brandon Davies situation? I agree with the university given the honor code he accepted. In fact I saw something a day or so ago saying he turned himself in. Good for him. If you really believe in something, it's more important than winning basketball games. We all applaud certain principles but it's a rare person who stands up for them at a cost to themselves.
