>So are you trying to tell me that of those 18 that didn't do the crime that there was some question as to their guilt at the time they were sentenced to death? Obviously a jury or judge thought that there was "zero question" as to their guilt - and needless to say they were wrong. ...and I don't think a rate of 6% (that we KNOW of) is what I would consider "rarely". Furthermore a rate of .00001% when you're killing the guy isn't good enough.

>First, on the 18 exonerated, it doesn't mean they were necessarily innocent. It means they were wrongfully convicted. Yes, I acknowledge that some were innocent...maybe most, and maybe even all - and I think the bar/burden of proof is now much higher than 20-30 years ago.

>As I said before, I still support the death penalty when there's absolutely zero question of guilt. Jared Loughner should be put to death. Robin Greinke and Steven Neil (the two who have already admitted beating the 3 year old boy for more than an hour) should be put to death. In these situations, there is zero question as to guilt. Absolutely Zero. They have no claim to their lives, and should be put down. Every time I looked at my daughter today, all I could think about were those two pieces of human sh__ who brutally ended the life of a 3 year old boy.

Oh so they admitted to the crime so it must be true huh? Did you see how many of those 18 "confessed" to the crime? There will always be someone saying "zero question of guilt" while another says "well there is a question of guilt"....so that idea would never work...plus..uhh...killing is wrong.
