>KU is a beast right now. I think the only team that can beat them is KU itself. The Morris brothers are like wrecking machines...big, bad, and also very quick and agile. They're lethal inside, Reed/Morningstar are snipers from 3-pt land, and Tyshawn Taylor has unbelievable speed. KU is loaded. KU might wind up against UNC in one of the regional finals - it's been 3 years since KU b-slapped Roy Williams, and I'm hungry for another one.

I bet you are ;-)

I am excited about the tournament, as always. To me it is so much more interesting than the NBA playoffs because the players are so young and still finding themselves. For every guy like Lew Alcindor and Bill Walton who had the talent and will to dominate there are a million who have a talent for basketball and are still finding their way. The passion is far greater.

The best NCAA finals performance was by Walton. You probably didn't like him, he was a free spirit, but that was nearly a perfect game. He played during the Vietnam protest era and was one of the protesters, lying down in traffic in Westwood. One of his many battles with John Wooden was over hair. He showed up one year for the first day of practice with long hair and a beard. Wooden said William, you need to get that taken care of. Walton said it's my right to wear it the way I like. Wooden said William. we're going to miss you. He rode his bicycle to get a haircut.
