There is one good thing to be said for Illinois. We don't get tsunamis.

My initial skepticism about death toll estimates in Japan was mistaken. If anything the actual toll is even higher. And we don't even know about the radiation yet. (At least we won't be hearing for a while about how safe and economical nuclear energy is).
