Thx, I read it as a stupid way to try to still get a few points when caught with the hand in the cookie jar.
Over here we "lost" our defense secretary for having more copied text in the doc thesis than accounted for in the credits ;-) Not sure if I prefer the US way of picking apart the private behaviour, but politicians show similar traits when caught...
