Here I get always the info on VMware buying wavemaker.
In itself that is a credit - but what is the price of the different versions?

A similar generator is JRapid. Have not really checked both out.
Extensive Docs, but some rough spots for internationalization and schema changes if bug database is correct.
Refreshing asnwers from some devs online.
Both are cloud only - and I expect a similar offering from Google soon after deprecating Gears.
For installable java you might check out xDev3 - has a youtube cast and probably most similarities to vfp on the java side.
Sencha IMHO is not in the same league...
