As a further test I got the sample application "MM Northwind Sample Application" running and the borken rules indicators do work, get the message box, icon at end of the field, and message when hover mouse over icon.

Actually, the indicator for a broken rule in WPF is different than the indicator for Windows Forms--rather than using an icon, a red rectangle is drawn around the "offending" UI control instead. I just tried this on the sample app and it's working fine for me...I'll contact you via private email to see what we can figure out.
