If it's a VFE5 project, I don't think it can be directly compiled with a later version of VFP. I seem to recall some VFE libraries are version-dependent and/or check for VFP version number. For example, even to compile a VFE5 project in VFP6 required upgrading it to VFE5.5 .
Charles Hankey has done a lot of work with VFE, maybe he can comment on this.
