>Everyone seems to remember the original TARP expenditure of $700 billion. Although it has been reported in the news, people seem much less likely to know that the final cost after repayments is now estimated at under $50 billion. History will judge the so-called bailout kindly.

>I wasn't opposed to TARP, as there were valid reasons. The problem is that the current administration attempted to violate federal law by using recouped $$$ to fund a 2nd stimulus. That's a symptom of a bigger problem - huge government waste.

>Want to see something scary? Take a look at the disgraceful IRS fiascos in the last year.

>(On the last one, I don't blame the current administration...but the waste and corruption in their own house over the last year literally makes me want to vomit).
Missing link?
All right, I am going back to my studies. (Baskedballed out at the moment). Lately I have been spending most of my waking hours either looking for work or learning .NET (more). I want to a terrific all day conference up in Milwaukee yesterday. Two heavy hitters from Microsoft (tech side) were among the five speakers. It was well worth giving up a Saturday and driving three hours. I am also signed up for a Code Camp here in May. Maybe I am all revved up with no place to go but I am definitely learning.
