My data classes do that all the time. If you are getting -1 for record number then you are using buffering #5 and you should be able to goto -1. I just tried it here and it worked fine.

And when I want the record pointer to be moved back on the newly added record, what is the reliable method to do so? I tried to go to -1 but it moves to record no 1 (not negative 1). The PK value is not yet assigned to this new record so I cannot use it. Any suggestions? TIA.
