When I got notified that Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 was available, I confirmed the installation. It downloaded for about an hour a file of about 800 MB. Then, it installed for another half hour and failed. It asked for a reboot. I did. But, after checking the status, without any surprise, SP1 was not installed. So, I went back into the Windows Updates. It detected that SP1 was available. This time, it downloaded a file of about 80 MB and it took about one hour. Then, it installed for about half an hour. This time it was a success. I rebooted and everything is now fine.

Is this a normal pattern that someone else had?
