>>46. Ages ago, Alex, Allen and Alva arrived at Antibes, and Alva allowing all, allowing anyone, against Alex's admonition, against Allen's angry assertion: another African amusement . . . anyhow, as all argued, an awesome African army assembled and arduously advanced against an African anthill, assiduously annihilating ant after ant, and afterward, Alex astonishingly accuses Albert as also accepting Africa's antipodal ant annexation. - Walter Abish, Alphabetical Africa (1974)

>>Every single word in that sentence begins with the letter "a" ... *every* one! I looked up the book on Amazon, hoping there was a Kindle version so I could just sample the first couple of chapters. There isn't, but it does allow you a "Peek Inside". Every single word of the first *chapter* begins with an "a"!! The second chapter introduces the letter "b" and every word in that chapter starts with either a or b. Second chapter introduces "c", so all words start with either a, b or c ...etc.etc.etc.

I am watching the best closing episode in television history. The last episode of Mary Tyler Moore was pretty good but "The Sorranos" finale has it beat. Those writers were beyond belief.

"Pine Barrens," watch that one. "Long Term Parking." They aimed for the moon and stars and hit the moon and stars.

My favorite character, even above Tony: Paulie Walnuts.
