I have a VFP5 app that appends records to a table on a server all day long as a time clock program for employees clocking in and out.

Sometimes, the table will get messed up (haven't figured out why yet)and I will lose some data that was entered on the current day, and the table has to be re-indexed before I can add more data.

The main app is running on several machines throughout the company, some Win95 machines, and some NT4 machines. The app and tables are stored on a NT Sever 4 machine, and they all use the same table(s) as shared and with table buffing.

My most immediate concern is not losing data that has been entered. I will address the other REAL problem of why the table gets messed up later when I have more time.

Somewhere, I saw the REFRESH() command that said it forces a commit of the data to the disk. This sounds like it might help. Does anyone have experience with this?
