Only in exceptions, but our projects usually require onsite meetings and a close contact with clients.

There may be projects where this can be separated, but this is more rare. In any case we could gather some contact information so we have that at hand if we suddenly would need someone and if we could have a way to estimate cost for the budget.

Another situation could be to have a hybrid between telecommuting and onsite work, if for a specific project allows this. We could have somebody come for a few weeks to setup the project and then do the rest remotely.
