It was a terrific summer. I lived in a hotel in Bloomsbury, the birthplace of many writers, within walking distance of the Thames and the home office of Sainsburys. I walked to the office every day even in dismal rain. I bought an umbrella, a must for anyone in London. I met a couple of young ladies, one in particular. She said well you've never met an English woman now, ave you? I said no, I guess not.
