Do you understand the implications of your computer being rooted?

At the very least, you must assume all user names/passwords (for online banking etc., or anything else) you may have typed on that computer since you got infected have been compromised.

If you feel you've spent too much time trying to clean it, or you're not sure you have the skills, then bite the bullet, back up your data, wipe the hard drive(s) and reinstall everything from trusted media.

An untrustworthy computer is much less than worthless.
