But when I print these labels (they are printed in 4 columns) the left margin is much greater than it is supposed to be (.34"). It looks like the left margin is about 1 inch. So everything is moved to the right and does not look right. When I modify this label file in VFP and go to Properties I see the left margin defined correctly (as .34").

I think I figured what caused the problem. But I can't understand why though. Here is what I found.

The label has a field that has the following:

ALLTRIM( MyField)

The Format of this field box on the label was set to Alignment - Center.

When I changed the Alignment to - Left, printing started where it suppose to start, as far as left margin.

Note that the length of the field MyField is 15 characters. But the entry is only 4 characters (e.g. "5000", "5001", and so on). So I thought that the ALLTRIM() was removing all the extra spaces. And the fact that alignment was Center should not have moved the left margin. But it does.

If someone can explain what I am missing, I would appreciate it.
