Given the responses I have gotten so far, I must be doing something drastically wrong. I expected some dropoff in performance when I moved to the server but nothing like this. The server is dedicated in the sense that no one is using it so it should give adaquate response. What kind of difference do you see between running your app locally versus from a network? I have no frame of reference here for VFP though for FOXDOS I generally figured that my apps would run as fast on the network as they would in my development environment. In my VFP app I am using Stonefield Database and my own classes for all the interface. Most of the screens are set to be modal. I copied the entire application directory to the server. Any further help greatly appreciated.
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
