It IS metaphysical! I works, sortof. For the real application, not the test I sent, the grid is bound to a parameterized view. If I click into the combo and select the entry and save, the DisplayValue is visible, etc. But, until I go through that exercise, the DisplayValue is blank when I ReQuery the view.

I will play with this some more, but does what I said make ANY sense?
