I made a decision last year that I was going to divorce myself from MS. I did some research and ended up using PHP for my web stuff. I still don't have a good solution for desktop app but I really don't have any demand for a desktop app at the moment. I really like PHP and I use Postgres as the DB. I like it better than MySql especially since Oracle bought MySql.

>Since we are on the subject what are the tools ex-VFP developers are using for the UI?
>Any preferences and why? We are in the process of moving data from VFP to SQL Serever, and will add MySql. But the front end of the application is still VFP.
>Any suggestions?
